Mr. Sumner is the founder and managing director of Kiwanda Group LLC, a US-based resources venture capital business.
Founded in 2007, Kiwanda Group has financed mining and exploration projects across a range of commodities and regions, with a particular focus on metals in South America.
Mr. Sumner is a founder of Kiwanda Phosphate, the generative company which preceded Bifox Ltd , a Chilean phosphate rock development company. Mr. Sumner is also the founder of Daura Capital Corp, a TSXV-listed capital pool company which is consolidating a high grade gold district in Northern Peru.
Mr. Sumner previously held the position of Executive Chairman for Valor Resources Ltd., leading the acquisition and exploration of the Berenguela copper-silver project in Southern Peru.
